| EAA Chapter 59 Members received awards and
well earned recognition during the month of July 2004, 2005 |

Oshkosh 2005, EAA Chapter members Mike McMains and long time
member Joe Stahl received more awards for their service and dedication to
aviation and the EAA.
Joe Stahl received a Major Achievement Award for his
more than 60 years of dedication to aviation.

Nick Pocock and Joe Stahl receive the Wright Brothers Master
Pilot Award.
This aviation safety award was presented to Nick and Joe on July 8th, 2004,
at a special meeting of the Waco Aviation Safety group held at a luncheon
at Uncle Dans restaurant.
A large group of aviation enthusiasts attended the ceremony in their honor.
The Wright Brothers Master pilot award recognizes pilots who have contributed
to building and maintaining the safest aviation history in the world, through
practicing and promoting safe flight for a total of 50 years or more.
Joe Nemmer and Jim Garner gave a brief and interesting run down of the accomplishments
of these two pilots from Military Glider pilot to Flight instruction and World
Acrobatic contestant. Both pilots are staunch EAA supporters and members of
Chapter 59.
The award was presented by Steven Buckner, FAA Safety Program Manager from
Fort Worth Flight Standards District office and Otis Key, District Manager.

Note : Later that evening Joe was Recognized for his award at a meeting of
the Retired Officers Association at the Ridgewood Country Club Banquet.

| And at Air Venture Oshkosh 2004, Chapter
member Phil Grisham has been recognized and given a Major Achievement
Award for his life long dedication to aviation. |

Mike has also won the award again in 2005, photo at bottom
right. Congratulations again Mike.
Also at Oshkosh 2004 Mike McMains was presented with
an award for his commitment and efforts in creating and producing the EAA
Chapter 59 Newsletter "The Grapevine".
Congratulations to all of these hard working EAA Chapter 59 members.
These awards are hard earned and well deserved.
It is the hard work for years on end that make this one of the best Chapters
in the EAA.
