Phase One
Phase one of the project would involve the construction of a 100' x 60' wide steel building in the location previously designated as the spot for the meeting room. This is the front side of the pad nearest to the highway This is the side that will be visible from the street. View is from the east. Pay no attention to the colors used in these sketches, that was selected for the slide presentation only. The colors of the building will probably match the other hangers at the airport or will be a light blue.

This is a sketch of the east elevation looking through the end wall. The roof pitch is 3"-12". Note the amount of headroom depicted on the second floor above the ceiling line for the meeting room. The two dashed lines above the second floor indicate the width of a 6-foot and 7-foot headroom below the steel beams.

The ceilings at the rest rooms and the kitchen area could be lowered to eight feet. And since these are permanent walls and will remain after the project is fully completed these two walls can be extended all the way up to the roof.

Single profile

This sketch shows how the first phase building could be temporarily divided into two sections to provide space for both a meeting room and a small section for a hanger.
The wall dividing the two sections would be a temporary wall and would only extend up to the ten foot level.

Also note that we have included a hanger type overhead door in this section. The Building Committee agreed on this suggestion and decided that it might be a good idea even after the permanent hanger is built.
This of course may have some effect on our insurance plans so only time and research will tell.

Phase Two
Phase two will call for the construction of a second 100' x 60' wide hanger.
This building will be constructed in the location originally designated for it.
It will be constructed much like the first building and will be butted against the first with access between the two. This building will have a 40 foot wide hanger door and the taxiway to the ramp will be constructed to align with the door.
Phase -2
This sketch is simply a profile elevation of the two buildings together. Phase-2 profile

And this is an overhead view of the completed construction plan.
That temporary partition in the first section will be removed and the meeting room will occupy the majority of that building. Note that in this sketch I have repositioned the front wall and door of the first section in order to provide a 10' wide patio area. This was originally done to satisfy some insurance requirements of total square footage maximums and total costs involved.

Also note that the change in the roof design necessitated the rotation and repositioning of the stairway to the second floor.

The final foot print of the facility is 100' long by 120' wide just as our original designs specified. The height of the eaves is 18' and the ridge line is 25'-6" also as specified in the original designs.
