"Beam me Stotty"
The photo was taken at the Penelope Landings Fly-in, May13th 2000.
I was standing about 1000 feet down the runway, taking pictures of
the members as they took off for the day.
The time was about 1500 hours, (3:00pm) The two photos below preceed
this one. But what I like about this photo is how the sun hit my lens just
as Boyce headed over. The photo posted here is completely un-edited or
re-touched. The rays of sun light actually appeared this way on the original
photo.
There's almost something mistical about how the airplane seems to be
climbing straight up the beam of sun light towards the sun.
