Waco-TX EAAChapter 59
Completed Projects Page

I may never get this page fully completed. There are currently 70 projects that have been completed by the Chapter 59 members. Plus we have at least three more that are expected to be completed by the end of the year, (2000). At this rate I'll be busy writing web pages for a long time.  Hey wait a minute, what about my airplane!!! When do I get to work on that???

Mike McMiain's RV-7
Jim Warren's Rose Parrakette
John Foy's RV-8
David McCellan's
FP-303 from Fisher Flying Products.
Beautiful job Dave.
Mike McMains' RV4
and his Aeronca Champ
That's Mike over there on the right.
Just in case anyone thinks this is not a fun group to be around.
Mike sent me this photo so I assumed he wanted me to publish it.
Some how I know I'll pay for this.
Mike was our Chapter President for several years and still writes our news letter.
I think the job got to him.

I put that photo of Mike up here to show that the EAA is made up of real people. Mike is a professional pilot and takes his work very seriously. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a good sense of humor. The EAA is made up of dedicated people who like what they do. It's all about having fun and enjoying life, and if we have a tendency to get a little silly once in a while - that's ok. Mike may not appreciate the idea that I put that picture up here, but if you think about it for a second, it makes perfect sense. It shows that we are real people having real fun. And lets face it, if I had those two airplanes, I'd be a little giddy too, wouldn't you?
Here's a look at Dale Breedlove's
beautiful RV6. Dale has good reason to be proud of this little airplane. These computer images can not do it justice. You have to see this airplane to appreciate it.
Irv Guyer completed this little jewel just in time to fly it up to Oshkosh 2000. Another example of what time and careful workmanship can produce if you're good enough.
Johnnie Holick went way overboard in his persuit of perfection in this project. I have no idea how long it took him to build this RV4, but I've heard that he hand reamed, counter sank and deburred each and every rivet hole. His work table was leveled with a transit each day before starting any work. I'm not sure if many of us would be willing to go that far but the results seem to be worth it. Congratulations Johnnie for a level of quality not many people could accomplish.

Rick Bradely' RV-4 is hard to miss and is no problem picking out of a crowd. That's Debbie with him. Bradley RV-4-1.jpgBradley RV-4-2.jpg
Jim Hail deserves special recognition for his work on this RV-6A. This little airplane is simply beautiful. Check out the section on "How-to" and see how Jim made the head lights for this plane. rv6a.jpgjhail-rv6a-2.jpg
Bill Boyds Starduster SA-900.
Bill said he didn't think he would ever get this little goody finished, but he has. And it turned out terriffic.

W. D. Brown built a slightly different version of the Stolp but the results are just as impressive. vd19.jpggatesville1.jpg
James Rekieta completed his Glastar in 2001. Outstanding
workmanship shows everywhere.
Read Jim's report and check out the data sheets he provided for us.

This project shows what really good building practices can produce if you can handle it.
The results are fantastic.
